Louise Sargeant is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group at Bird & Bird LLP, with a focus on multi-jurisdiction trade secret and soft IP litigation. Ms. Sargeant advises clients across a range of industries on intellectual property issues throughout the lifecycle of IP rights. She specialises in multi-jurisdictional disputes, with particular emphasis on trade secrets, design, trade marks and copyright, and has acted in disputes before the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, as well as in proceedings before the UKIPO, EUIPO and the General Court. In addition to litigation, Ms. Sargeant advises on brand protection strategies and enforcement, clearance for product design and marketing campaigns, drafting IP-rich agreements and ownership issues. Her experience involves the removal and neutralisation of infringing or defamatory online content and advising on technology-based brand monitoring solutions. Ms. Sargeant previously worked as a music publisher and in-house at a fashion and technology company.
