Tom Scourfield is a partner at CMS based in London. He was Co-Head of the International IP Group at CMS for 8 years and is currently UK Chair of the Consumer & Retail Sector Group. Tom is a Solicitor Advocate (England and Wales), with an Irish solicitors qualification. Tom advises businesses on their commercial IP assets. This includes helping find the best strategy for the creation, identification, registration and capture of those assets, to their realisation through commercial agreements and licensing, and their protection and enforcement through litigation and other dispute resolution. Tom has acted for a number of household names on both devising and revising trade secret strategy, as well as on enforcement cases. In AI, Tom is a longstanding advisor to a range of clients on their policy, deployment and use of AI, including in respect of trade secrets.
