Varuni Paranavitane is a solicitor in Finnegan’s London office. She focuses on U.K. litigation and enforcement strategy in relation to patents, trade marks, design rights, copyright, and confidential information across a variety of sectors. She also advises clients on contentious trade mark matters at the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO) and has handled actions before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Varuni has advised on enforcement and settlement strategies, including mediation, in disputes before the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) and the High Court of Justice in England and Wales. She has particular experience advising on confidential information and trade secret disputes in the UK High Court. Her practice includes advising both AI developers and rights holders, drawing on her experience at the intersection of AI, copyright, and trade secret protection.
