Douglas Gordon is on secondment to a joint venture as Head of Intellectual Property. Previously, Mr. Gordon was head of IP, Leonardo UK and responsible for supporting the UK Divisions (Electronics, Helicopters, and Cyber & Security) and central applied research function in enhancing ownership, management, exploitation, and governance of IP, and additionally providing specialist IP advice. Prior to Leonardo UK, Mr Gordon spent over 15 years working in various roles at companies including CPA Global, Thomson Reuters, and Clarivate, helping them understand the IP needs of their customers and supporting their customers’ understanding of IP and the challenges and solutions for its management. From an academic background, Mr Gordon holds a Masters in chemistry from the University of Oxford, a Masters in the management of Intellectual Property and PgCert in IP Law from Queen Mary, University of London, and is presently studying for an MBA at the University of Hertfordshire.
